What is Travamigos?

Travamigos is a new app focused on bringing the budding adventurer together with like-minded people. Within a safe environment, individuals can search, join and organise once in a lifetime trips with other fellow travellers who may not want to travel alone.

As a company, Travamigos encourage you to look out for each other, to travel with confidence and be free to enjoy the time of your life. Whether you’re travelling to escape, broaden your mind or find yourself, Travamigos is right there with you, every step of the way.

Where can I download the Travamigos apps?

As of May 2018, Travamigos is available exclusively on the Apple App Store and can be downloaded here

For those using Android devices, we’re currently developing Travamigos to go on the Google Play store and will update you accordingly when it’s ready. Estimated launch for Android devices will be by the end of 2018.

Why do I need a Facebook account to use the Travamigos apps?

Travamigos prides itself on providing a safe environment for like-minded travellers to get together and plan something beautiful. With the use of Facebook, we can ensure that the people using the app are the genuine article and not someone else.

There are plans to add a manual sign-up feature to the app alongside Facebook further down the line. However, to ensure we retain a safe environment, we’re still holding discussions as to how we could appropriately apply this feature and will announce when it goes live within the app.

What are your Community Guidelines?

We have taken the time to put together a list of what we expect from anyone using our app. Travamigos pride ourselves in being cool, up-to-date, and super fun, so please don’t mess up our culture by being an idiot.

How do I report instances of harassment or bullying to Travamigos?

At Travamigos, we take your security and happiness very seriously. We pride ourselves in being cool, up-to-date, and super fun. We understand that there can sometimes be individual(s) which want to ruin that and so, we have ensured that it is easy for any of our users to report a person or trip.

How do I report instances of inappropriate material to Travamigos?

Whilst we love and welcome your photographs, videos and travel experiences, we do not want to publish any offensive material. Please help our caring culture by reporting offensive material.

Can I share my account with others?

Only you are allowed to access an account registered in your name. We don’t recognise the transfer of accounts between individuals and any activities performed on your account are your liability.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and the use of your username and password. You are responsible for all uses of your information, even if you don’t authorise them.

1. Acceptance of Terms of Use Agreement.
By creating a Travamigos account whether through a mobile device or computer you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy (View Here) and Safety Tips (View Here), each of which is incorporated by reference into this Agreement. If you do not accept and agree to be bound by all of the terms of this Agreement, please do not use the Service.

We may make changes to this Agreement and to the Services from time to time. We may do this for a variety of reasons including to reflect changes in or requirements of the law, new features, or changes in business practices. The most recent version of this Agreement will be posted on the Services under Settings and also on travamigos.com, and you should regularly check for the most recent version. The most recent version is the version that applies. If the changes include material changes that affect your rights or obligations, we will notify you in advance of the changes by reasonable means, which could include notification through the Services or via email. If you continue to use the Services after the changes become effective, then you agree to the revised Agreement.

2. Eligibility.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account on Travamigos and use the Service. By creating an account and using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

  • you can form a binding contract with Travamigos
  • you are not a person who is barred by law from using the Service
  • you will comply with this Agreement and all applicable local, state, national and international laws, rules and regulations, and
  • you have never been convicted of a felony and that you are not required to register as a sex offender with any state, federal or local sex offender registry.

3. Your Account.
In order to use Travamigos, you may sign in using your Facebook login. If you do so, you authorise us to access and use certain Facebook account information, including but not limited to your public Facebook profile and information about Facebook friends you share in common with other Travamigos users. For more information regarding the information we collect from you and how we use it, please consult our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials you use to sign up for Travamigos, and you are solely responsible for all activities that occur under those credentials. 4. Modifying the Services and Termination.
Travamigos is always striving to improve the Services and bring you additional functionality that you will find engaging and useful. This means we may add new product features or enhancements from time to time as well as remove some features, and if these actions do not materially affect your rights or obligations, we may not provide you with notice before taking them. We may even suspend the Services entirely, in which event we will notify you in advance unless extenuating circumstances, such as safety or security concerns, prevent us from doing so.

You may terminate your account at any time, for any reason, by following the instructions in “Settings” in the Service, however you will need to manage your in app purchases through your mobile device platform (e.g., iTunes, Google Play). Travamigos may terminate your account at any time without notice if it believes that you have violated this Agreement. Upon such termination, you will not be entitled to any refund for purchases. After your account is terminated, this Agreement will terminate, except that the following provisions will still apply to you and Travamigos: Section 5, Section 6, and Sections 13 through 20.

5. Safety; Your Interactions with Other Users.
Though Travamigos strives to encourage a respectful user experience through its features, it is not responsible for the conduct of any user on or off the Service. You agree to use caution in all your interactions with other users, particularly if you decide to communicate off the Service or meet in person. In addition, you agree to review and follow Travamigos Safety Tips, located on travamigos.com, prior to using the Service. You should not provide your financial information (for example, your credit card or bank account information), or transfer or otherwise send money, to other users.

YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER USERS. YOU UNDERSTAND THAT TRAVAMIGOS DOES NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS ON ITS USERS OR OTHERWISE INQUIRE INTO THE BACKGROUND OF ITS USERS. TRAVAMIGOS MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES AS TO THE CONDUCT OF USERS. TRAVAMIGOS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CONDUCT ANY CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK OR OTHER SCREENINGS (SUCH AS SEX OFFENDER REGISTER SEARCHES) AT ANY TIME USING AVAILABLE PUBLIC RECORDS.

6. Rights Travamigos Grants You.
Travamigos grants you a personal, worldwide, royalty-free, non-assignable, nonexclusive, revocable, and non-sublicencable licence to access and use the Services. This license is for the sole purpose of letting you use and enjoy the Services’ benefits as intended by Travamigos and permitted by this Agreement. Therefore, you agree not to:

  • use the Service or any content contained in the Service for any commercial purposes without our written consent.
  • copy, modify, transmit, create any derivative works from, make use of, or reproduce in any way any copyrighted material, images, trademarks, trade names, service marks, or other intellectual property, content or proprietary information accessible through the Service without Travamigos’s prior written consent.
  • express or imply that any statements you make are endorsed by Travamigos.
  • use any robot, bot, spider, crawler, scraper, site search/retrieval application, proxy or other manual or automatic device, method or process to access, retrieve, index, “data mine,” or in any way reproduce or circumvent the navigational structure or presentation of the Service or its contents.
  • use the Services in any way that could interfere with, disrupt or negatively affect the Service or the servers or networks connected to the Service.
  • upload viruses or other malicious code or otherwise compromise the security of the Services.
  • forge headers or otherwise manipulate identifiers in order to disguise the origin of any information transmitted to or through the Service.
  • “frame” or “mirror” any part of the Service without Travamigos’s prior written authorisation.
  • use meta tags or code or other devices containing any reference to Travamigos or the Service (or any trademark, trade name, service mark, logo or slogan of Travamigos) to direct any person to any other website for any purpose.
  • modify, adapt, sublicense, translate, sell, reverse engineer, decipher, decompile or otherwise disassemble any portion of the Service, or cause others to do so.
  • use or develop any third-party applications that interact with the Services or other users’ Content or information without our written consent.
  • use, access, or publish the Travamigos application programming interface without our written consent.
  • probe, scan or test the vulnerability of our Services or any system or network.
  • encourage or promote any activity that violates this Agreement.

The Company may investigate and take any available legal action in response to illegal and/ or unauthorised uses of the Service, including termination of your account.

Any software that we provide you may automatically download and install upgrades, updates, or other new features. You may be able to adjust these automatic downloads through your device’s settings.

7. Rights you Grant Travamigos.
By creating an account, you grant to Travamigos a worldwide, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, right and license to host, store, use, copy, display, reproduce, adapt, edit, publish, modify and distribute information you authorise us to access from Facebook, as well as any information you post, upload, display or otherwise make available (collectively, “post”) on the Service or transmit to other users (collectively, “Content”). Our license to your Content is subject to your rights under applicable law (for example laws regarding personal data protection to the extent any Content contains personal information as defined by those laws) and is for the limited purpose of operating, developing, providing, and improving the Service and researching and developing new ones. You agree that any Content you place or that you authorise us to place on the Service may be viewed by other users and may be viewed by any person visiting or participating in the Service (such as individuals who may receive shared Content from other Travamigos users).

You agree that all information that you submit upon creation of your account, including information submitted from your Facebook account, is accurate and truthful and you have the right to post the Content on the Service and grant the license to Travamigos above.

You understand and agree that we may monitor or review any Content you post as part of a Service. We may delete any Content, in whole or in part, that in our sole judgment violates this Agreement or may harm the reputation of the Service.

When communicating with our customer care representatives, you agree to be respectful and kind. If we feel that your behaviour towards any of our customer care representatives or other employees is at any time threatening or offensive, we reserve the right to immediately terminate your account.

In consideration for Travamigos allowing you to use the Services, you agree that we, our affiliates, and our third-party partners may place advertising on the Services. By submitting suggestions or feedback to Travamigos regarding our Services, you agree that Travamigos may use and share such feedback for any purpose without compensating you.

You agree that Travamigos may access, preserve and disclose your account information and Content if required to do so by law or in a good faith belief that such access, preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary, such as to: (i) comply with legal process; (ii) enforce this Agreement; (iii) respond to claims that any Content violates the rights of third parties; (iv) respond to your requests for customer service; or (v) protect the rights, property or personal safety of the Company or any other person.

8. Community Rules.
By using the Services, you agree that you will not:

  • use the Service for any purpose that is illegal or prohibited by this Agreement.
  • spam, solicit money from or defraud any users.
  • impersonate any person or entity or post any images of another person without his or her permission.
  • bully, “stalk,” intimidate, harass or defame any person.
  • post any Content that violates or infringes anyone’s rights, including rights of publicity, privacy, copyright, trademark or other intellectual property or contract right.
  • post any Content that is hate speech, threatening, sexually explicit or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence.
  • post any Content that promotes racism, bigotry, hatred or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual.
  • solicit passwords for any purpose, or personal identifying information for commercial or unlawful purposes from other users or disseminate another person’s personal information without his or her permission.
    use another user’s account.
  • create another account if we have already terminated your account, unless you have our permission.

Travamigos reserves the right to investigate and/ or terminate your account without a refund of any purchases if you have misused the Service or behaved in a way that Travamigos regards as inappropriate or unlawful, including actions or communications that occur off the Service but involve users you meet through the Service.

9. Other Users’ Content.
Although Travamigos reserves the right to review and remove Content that violates this Agreement, such Content is the sole responsibility of the user who posts it, and Travamigos cannot guarantee that all Content will comply with this Agreement. If you see Content on the Services that violates this Agreement, please report it via: [email protected].

10. Purchases.
In App Purchases. From time to time, Travamigos may offer products and services for purchase (“in app purchases”) through iTunes, Google Play or other application platforms authorised by Travamigos (each, a “Software Store”). If you choose to make an in app purchase, you will be prompted to enter details for your account with your Software Store (“your IAP Account”), and your IAP Account will be charged for the in app purchase in accordance with the terms disclosed to you at the time of purchase as well as the general terms for in app purchases that apply to your IAP Account. Some Software Stores may charge you sales tax, depending on where you live. If you purchase an auto-recurring periodic subscription through an in app purchase, your IAP Account will be billed continuously for the subscription until you cancel. After your initial subscription commitment period, and again after any subsequent subscription period, your subscription will automatically continue for an additional equivalent period, at the price you agreed to when subscribing. If you do not wish your subscription to renew automatically, or if you want to change or terminate your subscription, you will need to log in to your IAP account and follow instructions to cancel your subscription, even if you have otherwise deleted your account with us or the Travamigos application from your device.

11. Notice and Procedure for Making Claims of Copyright Infringement.
If you believe that your work has been copied and posted on the Service in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please provide our Copyright Agent with the following information:

  • an electronic or physical signature of the person authorised to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest;
  • a description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed;
  • a description of where the material that you claim is infringing is located on the Service (and such description must be reasonably sufficient to enable us to find the alleged infringing material);
  • your contact information, including address, telephone number and email address;
  • a written statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
  • a statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.

Notice of claims of copyright infringement should be provided to the Company’s Copyright Agent at the following address:

Travamigos will terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

12. Disclaimers.
TRAVAMIGOS PROVIDES THE SERVICE ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS AND TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GRANTS NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE WITH RESPECT TO THE SERVICE (INCLUDING ALL CONTENT CONTAINED THEREIN), INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF SATISFACTORY QUALITY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. TRAVAMIGOS DOES NOT REPRESENT OR WARRANT THAT (A) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE OR ERROR FREE, (B) ANY DEFECTS OR ERRORS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED, OR (C) THAT ANY CONTENT OR INFORMATION YOU OBTAIN ON OR THROUGH THE SERVICES WILL BE ACCURATE.

TRAVAMIGOS TAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY CONTENT THAT YOU OR ANOTHER USER OR THIRD PARTY POSTS, SENDS OR RECEIVES THROUGH THE SERVICES. ANY MATERIAL DOWNLOADED OR OTHERWISE OBTAINED THROUGH THE USE OF THE SERVICE IS ACCESSED AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION AND RISK.

13. Third Party Services.
The Service may contain advertisements and promotions offered by third parties and links to other web sites or resources. Travamigos is not responsible for the availability (or lack of availability) of such external websites or resources. If you choose to interact with the third parties made available through our Service, such party’s terms will govern their relationship with you. Travamigos is not responsible or liable for such third parties’ terms or actions.

14. Limitation of Liability.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL TRAVAMIGOS, ITS AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES, LICENSORS OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM: (I) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICES, (II) THE CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF OTHER USERS OR THIRD PARTIES ON, THROUGH, OR FOLLOWING USE OF THE SERVICES; OR (III) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE OR ALTERATION OF YOUR CONTENT, EVEN IF TRAVAMIGOS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT WILL TRAVAMIGOS’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID, IF ANY, BY YOU TO TRAVAMIGOS FOR THE SERVICE WHILE YOU HAVE AN ACCOUNT.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OR ALL OF THE EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS IN THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

15. Governing Law.
This Agreement and its inherent Services are governed by English Law.

16. Indemnity by You.
You agree, to the extent permitted under applicable law, to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Travamigos, our affiliates, and their and our respective officers, directors, agents, and employees from and against any and all complaints, demands, claims, damages, losses, costs, liabilities and expenses, including legal fees, due to, arising out of, or relating in any way to your access to or use of the Services, your Content, or your breach of this Agreement.

17. Entire Agreement; Other.
This Agreement, with the Privacy Policy, the Safety Tips and any terms disclosed and agreed to by you if you purchase additional features, products or services we offer on the Service, contains the entire agreement between you and Travamigos regarding the use of the Service. If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid, the remainder of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect. The failure of the Company to exercise or enforce any right or provision of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. You agree that your Travamigos account is non-transferable and all of your rights to your account and its Content terminate upon your death. No agency, partnership, joint venture or employment is created as a result of this Agreement and you may not make any representations or bind Travamigos in any manner.

Privacy Policy

Travamigos Limited (“Travamigos,” “we,” and “us”) respects the privacy of its users (“you”) and has developed this Privacy Policy to demonstrate its commitment to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect, how that information may be used, with whom it may be shared, and your choices about such uses and disclosures. We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy carefully when using our application or services or transacting business with us. By using our website, application or other online services (our “Service”), you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information we collect about you
In General. We may collect Personal Information, including Sensitive Data, and other information. “Personal Information” means individually identifiable information that would allow us to determine the actual identity of, and contact, a specific living person. Sensitive Data includes information, comments or content (e.g. photographs, video, profile, lifestyle) that you optionally provide that may reveal your ethnic origin, nationality, religion and/or sexual orientation. By providing Sensitive Data to us, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of Sensitive Data as permitted by applicable privacy laws. We may also collect your geolocation information with your consent. We may collect this information through a website, mobile application, or other online service. By using the Service, you are authorising us to gather, parse and retain data related to the provision of the Service. When you provide personal information through our Service, the information may be sent to servers located in the United States and countries around the world.

Information you provide. In order to register as a user with Travamigos, you will be asked to sign in using your Facebook login. If you do so, you authorise us to access certain Facebook account information, such as your public Facebook profile (consistent with your privacy settings in Facebook), your email address, interests, likes, gender, birthday, education history, relationship interests, current city, photos, personal description, friend list, and information about and photos of your Facebook friends who might be common Facebook friends with other Travamigos users. You will also be asked to allow Travamigos to collect your location information from your device when you download or use the Service. In addition, we may collect and store any personal information you provide while using our Service or in some other manner. This may include identifying information, such as your name, address, email address and telephone number, and, if you transact business with us, financial information. You may also provide us photos, a personal description and information about your gender and preferences for recommendations, such as search distance, age range and gender. If you chat with other Travamigos users, you provide us the content of your chats, and if you contact us with a customer service or other inquiry, you provide us with the content of that communication.

Use of technologies to collect information. We use various technologies to collect information from your device and about your activities on our Service.

Information collected automatically. We automatically collect information from your browser or device when you visit our Service. This information could include your IP address, device ID and type, your browser type and language, the operating system used by your device, access times, your mobile device’s geographic location while our application is actively running, and the referring website address.

Cookies and use of cookie and similar data. When you visit our Service, we may assign your device one or more cookies or other technologies that facilitate personalisation to facilitate access to our Service and to personalise your experience. Through the use of a cookie, we also may automatically collect information about your activity on our Service, such as the pages you visit, the time and date of your visits and the links you click. If we advertise, we (or third parties) may use certain data collected on our Service to show you Travamigos advertisements on other sites or applications.

Pixel tags. We embed pixel tags (also called web beacons or clear GIFs) on web pages, ads, and emails. These tiny, invisible graphics are used to access cookies and track user activities (such as how many times a page is viewed). We use pixel tags to measure the popularity of our features and services. Ad companies also use pixel tags to measure the number of ads displayed and their performance (such as how many people clicked on an ad).

Mobile device IDs. If you’re using our app, we use mobile device IDs (the unique identifier assigned to a device by the manufacturer), or Advertising IDs (for iOS 6 and later), instead of cookies, to recognise you. We do this to store your preferences and track your use of our app. Unlike cookies, device IDs cannot be deleted, but Advertising IDs can be reset in “Settings” on your iPhone. Ad companies also use device IDs or Advertising IDs to track your use of the app, track the number of ads displayed, measure ad performance and display ads that are more relevant to you. Analytics companies use device IDs to track information about app usage.

Information collected by third-parties for advertising purposes. We may allow service providers, advertising companies and ad networks, and other third parties to display advertisements on our Service and elsewhere. These companies may use tracking technologies, such as cookies or web beacons, to collect information about users who view or interact with their advertisements. We do not provide any non-masked or non-obscured personal information to third parties. Some of these third-party advertising companies may be advertising networks that are members of the Network Advertising Initiative, which offers a single location to opt out of ad targeting from member companies (www.networkadvertising.org). Opting out will not decrease the number of advertisements you see. To opt-out of cookies that may be set by third party data or advertising partners, please go to http://www.aboutads.info/choices/.

How we use the information we collect
In General. We may use information that we collect about you to:

  • deliver and improve our products and services, and manage our business;
  • manage your account and provide you with customer support;
  • perform research and analysis about your use of, or interest in, our or others’ products, services, or content;
  • communicate with you by email, postal mail, telephone and/or mobile devices about products or services that may be of interest to you either from us or other third parties;
  • develop, display, and track content and advertising tailored to your interests on our Service and other sites, including providing our advertisements to you when you visit other sites;
  • website or mobile application analytics;
  • verify your eligibility and deliver prizes in connection with contests and sweepstakes;
  • enforce or exercise any rights in our Terms of use; and
  • perform functions or services as otherwise described to you at the time of collection.

Job applicants. If your Personal Information is submitted when applying for a position with our company, the information will be used solely in connection with considering and acting upon your application. We may retain your Personal Information, but only for the purpose of considering your application for current or future available positions. This information, which may include your name and contact information, prior education and experience, and other information you provide to us, may be shared with third-party service providers retained by us to collect, maintain and analyse candidate submissions for job postings.

With whom we share your information
Information Shared with Other Users.When you register as a user of Travamigos, your Travamigos profile will be viewable by other users of the Service. Other users (and in the case of any sharing features available on Travamigos, the individuals or apps with whom a Travamigos user may choose to share you with) will be able to view information you have provided to us directly or through Facebook, such as your Facebook photos, any additional photos you upload, your first name, your age, approximate number of miles away, your personal description, and information you have in common with the person viewing your profile, such as common Facebook friends and likes. If you chat with fellow Travamigos, of course they will see the content of your chat.

Personal information. We do not share your personal information with others except as indicated in this Privacy Policy or when we inform you and give you an opportunity to opt out of having your personal information shared. We may share personal information with:

Service providers. We may share information, including personal and financial information, with third parties that perform certain services on our behalf. These services may include fulfilling orders, providing customer service and marketing assistance, performing business and sales analysis, ad tracking and analytics, member screenings, supporting our Service functionality, and supporting contests, sweepstakes, surveys and other features offered through our Service. These service providers may have access to personal information needed to perform their functions but are not permitted to share or use such information for any other purposes.

Other Situations. We may disclose your information, including personal information:

  • In response to a court order or similar investigative demand, or a request for cooperation from a law enforcement or other government agency; to establish or exercise our legal rights; to defend against legal claims; or as otherwise required by law. Do Not Track disclosure
Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that users can set in their web browsers. DNT is a way for users to inform websites and services that they do not want certain information about their webpage visits collected over time and across websites or online services. We are committed to providing you with meaningful choices about the information we collect and that is why we provide the opt-out links above. However, we do not recognise or respond to any DNT signals, as the Internet industry works toward defining exactly what DNT means, what it means to comply with DNT, and a common approach to responding to DNT.

Third-party websites
There are a number of places on our Service where you may click on a link to access other websites that do not operate under this Privacy Policy. For example, if you click on an advertisement on our Service, you may be taken to a website that we do not control. These third- party websites may independently solicit and collect information, including personal information, from you and, in some instances, provide us with information about your activities on those websites. If you have a Travamigos account, you have the ability to review and update your personal information within the Service by opening your account and going to settings. Applicable privacy laws may allow you the right to access and/or request the correction of errors or omissions in your personal information that is in our custody or under our control. Our Privacy Officer will assist you with the access request.

This includes:

  • Identification of personal information under our custody or control; and
  • Information about how personal information under our control may be or has been used by us.

We will respond to requests within the time allowed by all applicable privacy laws and will make every effort to respond as accurately and completely as possible. Any corrections made to personal information will be promptly sent to any organisation to which it was disclosed.

In certain exceptional circumstances, we may not be able to provide access to certain personal information we hold. For security purposes, not all personal information is accessible and amendable by the Privacy Officer. If access or corrections cannot be provided, we will notify the individual making the request within 30 days, in writing, of the reasons for the refusal.

Data retention

If you close your account, we will retain certain data for analytical purposes and recordkeeping integrity, as well as to prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Use, take actions we deem necessary to protect the integrity of our Service or our users, or take other actions otherwise permitted by law. Information you provide about yourself while using our Service

We are a growing company with users and operations in multiple countries. These community guidelines are set so we can continue to provide a fun culture that everyone loves being part of, please abide by them 🙂

Impersonation

  • Pretending to be anyone other than yourself is strictly prohibited within our App. This includes impersonating someone you may know.

Adult Content

  • The distribution, or suggestion of any sexually explicit content is strictly prohibited.

Sexual Content Involving Minors

  • The distribution, or suggestion of any sexually explicit content of people under the age of 18 is strictly prohibited.

Illegal Content

  • Don’t use our platform to carry out or encourage any illegal proceedings.

Threats

  • Threats are taken very seriously and will be investigated, never threaten to harm or endanger another person, group of people or an object which lies in another person’s possession.

Harassment & Bullying

  • We will not tolerate any form bullying or harassment.
  • Don’t post content with the intention of upsetting someone. If you get blocked, it is not okay to contact them through the use of another account.

Hate Speech

  • Do not post content that promotes a negative divide based on any of the following; race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability.

Terrorism

  • We will not tolerate any content that promotes terrorism. Participating in this act will result in the immediate termination of your account.

Spam

  • Do not use the platform to promote any other kind of business for personal gain.

Please use the report button provided within the app to alert any behaviour deemed unacceptable, we investigate every case reported, and will remove the offending content, terminate your account, or notify the police. If your account is terminated you may never be able to use Travamigos again.
